Wednesday Dictation

Listen carefully and keep each part inside your head.
Then try and write it down.

You will get a few times to listen and a chance at the end to go back over the whole text so you can check you have got everything.

Remember the full stops and capital letters.

Remember to circle possible spelling errors - you get points if you have circled them and made a mistake.

In the Middle Ages
people did not get to vote
for a government.
Small communities were ruled 

by the local lord.  
The lord owned the land 
and everything in it.  
He would keep the peasants safe 
in return for their service (work).
The lord, in return,
would provide the king 
with soldiers or taxes (money).
