The Flying Kiwi
My heart was pounding as my harnesses clicked tight around
me. They pulled me up. Be brave, be brave I thought as I got higher and higher
off the ground.
When I got to the top
I looked down, I couldn't believe it! Everyone looked as big as thimbles! 3, 2,
1 drop! I dropped the rubber toy chicken and tried to get it into the purple
hula hoop; I got it in the hoop unfortunately the toy chicken bounced because
the hoop was on the ground. Then I tried to get the flipper in the hoop but I
got nowhere near the hoop because I was spinning around. I didn't feel scared
anymore.
As I was lowered down I kept on thinking I wish I could do
that again, but everyone needs a turn. When I got to the bottom my chest
harness was taken off and I joined the end of the line. It was hard work
pulling everyone up but I knew it was like this when they were pulling me up.
If I could, I would go
back to Wainui just to do the flying kiwi again.
